Legality of sport gambling:
In
the United States there are at least four ways to bet or
gambling on sports excluding betting on various types of
animal racing. Out of these four two are legal, one is
illegal and the last one is ambiguous. The Nevada sports
Books are licensed and any one can bet legally. However
there are virtual offshore bookies in every town where
bettors can wager their money. Gambling with offshore or
international sports books seems to be on the rise, and
promises to spread from phone services to Internet based
online services. Considering this point of view of bets
and odds offered, these books are similar to licensed
Nevada Sports Books. However the legality of these
services are, at best, ambiguous. There are claims and
opinions on all sides of the argument, but few legal
precedents. In a nutshell we can say that some offshore
books are run by old trustworthy firms, some are
fly-by-night scams, and many are somewhere in between.
Sports for gambling:
One can bet on almost any sport that the sports book one
is wagering with covers. Generally most of the books
include professional and college football and
basketball, professional baseball, professional hockey,
and horse and dog racing. Every now and then sports
books will offer proposition bets on events like
professional golf tournaments and the Indy 500 and the
like, but not on a regular basis for other events in
those sports.
About sport gambling forums:
The Internet has not only revolutionized the ability to
gamble online, but also the ability to communicate with
like-minded bettors. The
sports gambling
forums offer lively give and take where bettors
discuss their predictions about games and help one
another decide on profitable gambles and bets. In
addition to these a cottage industry of tipster sites
has sprung up where inexperienced bettors can, for free
or a fee; receive previews and tips for upcoming events.
Most of these free sites are generally affiliated with
online bookmakers and finance their service by
introducing new customers to their preferred online
bookmakers. There are many popular sports gambling
forums existing, however the quality of the forms
greatly depends on the members.
